WRG is actively involved in the wider community in several ways - both in participation and assistance support.

        Water Carriers Theatre National Tour

        A major new Australian theatrical production written by Dee Kaylock.
        Comprising 28 Melbourne-based youth theatre performers from diverse cultural and denomination backgrounds. The full stage production will held at NGH 2003 after critical performance acclaim at Melbourne Town Hall and Black Stump.

        National Gospel Happening Music & Arts Festival

        Australia's Premier Gospel Music Festival and one of the largest community fundraising entertainment festivals. WRG is a gold sponsor of this festival which sees celebrities such as Jimmy Little, Vika & Linda, Kamahl, Bill Chambers, Nikki Fletcher, and some 600 other performers put some positive soul back into the heart of the nation.

        21 - 28 November - Canberra ACT

        Gorokan High School China Tour

        Year 10 music students of Gorokan High School on the NSW Central Coast planned a 10 day tour of China playing concerts in Beijing, Xian and rural communities.

        WRG was proud to sponsor part of the costs for this worthwhile cross-cultural experience to some of the driest parts of China.


    • Development Aid

        Provision of microhydropower to remote viollages in underdeveloped nations, including Vietnam, Thailand.

        Tan Son Elementary School, Son La Province, Vietnam

        Situated deep in the highlands of north-western Vietnam, the village was without electrical power. Light were all gas or candle, with few modern appliances used.

        WRG was proud to sponsor a PowerPal unit which now supplies 500W to the village school from the local stream. The school now has short-wave radio and is also used at night for theatre, markets and community activities.
